Wow am I busy, and planning on taking on even more!
I've registered for a first year Geography class at Douglas College for January. It looks interesting, but I hope I can handle being back at school.
I'm also planning on starting to run again. There is a Running Room near me now that has marathon training on Thursday nights. I haven't registered yet, but I'm planning to...I'll keep you posted on that one.
I'm working 5 days this week on top of my normal job at the GSC! That makes for 60 hours this week, which isn't that crazy, but seems like I'm busy all the time. I thrive on it though, so as long as I get enough sleep, I'm good. And it will make the time off over the holidays seem that much better!
Ty is almost done this semester, only one class yet. He is running on adrenelin and no sleep. He's sick and I'm starting to feel a sore throat so hopefully we can make it through this weekend and catch up on some much needed sleep.
Off to relax now on my one night off this week!

The holiday season is here!
So I'm sure pretty much everyone knows about the dumping of snow we had last week. It was cool to have that much snow, but made getting around a little difficult. Everyone decided that driving was dangerous (rightly so) so they hoped on transit which was running at a reduced capacity because staff couldn't get to work and they wanted someone at the front of each train. Normally it takes me 50 mins to get to or from work, last week it was taking me 1.5 hours to get to work and one day over 2 to get home. Wednesday night it took me 2 hours to get to Metrotown alone (normally 30 min) as the Skytrains weren't running. So I shopped until they were running again. I got some really nice Hush Puppies boots and a tank from lululemon. I'm so happy about my boots, it took me almost a week to decide on the ones I wanted, meanwhile I was trudging through the snow getting cold and wet feet. Now I can jump in puddles and I'm fine! So that was worth the wait that night.
The snow is melting, but there is still lots of it around. It's melting and then freezing overnight so it's quite icy in the morning and at night. I slipped down the hill to the skytrain yesterday morning even with my boots on. I hope the roads are okay today as I'm driving into Vancouver for Eoin's yoga class.
Oh we went to BodyWorlds3 at Science World on Thursday night. It was pretty cool, but I wish there had been more explanation about why this disease made this tissue look different or why a lady had about 20 prosthetics. Maybe we should have rented the headsets. We also played some of the Science World games after while waiting on Luke. We had relaxation contests and Ty lost. Jen could fit into the squish box quite nicely and was off the chart on the flexability test! See yoga is good for something!
Yesterday I worked at lululemon from 7 til 1 and it was fun. It doesn't really seem like work except my feet hurt at the end of it. Ty and I then had a nice day together as it feels like we haven't seen much of each other lately. We had naps, then walked down to Columbia St and saw the end of the Santa Claus Parade. We didn't want to ruin the day by buying groceries so we had a strange dinner of baked potatoes and broccoli. Oh well. We also put up our Christmas tree too so that was exciting. It's only 3 weeks til Christmas now! I guess I should start thinking about shopping.
I hope the snow sticks around for a while as it's so pretty on the trees. We had over a foot on our balcony and I tried to take some good pictures. I'll post them soon on flickr.
Happy December everyone and don't let the stress of shopping or commuting get to you. It's supposed to be a joyful and thankful time, not a stress-causing time!
