Last class and what now?.....

I finished my last class (Greenhouse Gas Inventory Accounting & Reporting) in the Award of Achievement in Sustainability Management a week or so ago. I have now applied for graduation from this program and will soon have my certificate in hand! I started taking classes at UBC Continuing Studies in Sustainability Management in September 2009 out of a desire to learn more about sustainability and business. I kept taking the classes and eventually decided to pursue the certificate/award.
Every single course I took during the program provided me with new skills and information, from sustainability in general (food systems) to how businesses can embed sustainability into their processes (embedding sustainability and designing metrics). I truly enjoyed spending my one or two evenings a week at class, learning from both the instructors and the students. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to become a sustainability coordinator/manager, a sustainability consultant, or someone who just wants to help their company become more sustainable. Even though I have completed the program, I'm sure that I will continue to take courses through UBC Continuing Studies as they add new topics.
But now, I will have to determine what to do with this certificate and what my next steps are. If anyone knows me personally, you know that I am most definitely a life-long learner and will likely always be taking courses of some sort. I'm trying to let myself have some time off to think about my next steps, but I've already started trying to improve my French and am listening to podcasts pretty much daily to improve. Maybe my next class will be a French class? Or perhaps some more business classes? Either way, I'm excited to figure out the next steps :)
